Double Chocolate Oreo Cookies
This recipe is made for chocolate lovers. If you dont like chocolate, then (respectfully) please leave.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 15 cookies
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon ground coffee
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
2 large eggs
6 Oreo cookies, crushed
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 405 degrees.
Melt the butter and add cocoa powder, ground coffee, and sugars. Whisk until combined.
Add the eggs and whisk until combined.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined (you might want to switch from a whisk to a wooden spoon or spatula at this point).
Roughly chop/ crush the Oreo cookies.
Add the Oreo cookies and chocolate chips to the dough and finish mixing by hand.
Roll a ball of dough (about 2 tablespoons size) and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 9-10 minutes.
Once the cookies are out of the oven, transfer to a cooling rack. These cookies will be fudgey and I think they are best enjoyed while warm (you can always reheat in the microwave for 15 seconds).
